DESCRIPTION:Calling girls of ALL ages for our Trail Blazers Series! \n  \n  \n Trail Blazers 1 &ndash; Hiking &amp; Packing for Adventure (5/14) \n  \n  \n  \n  \n Ready to hit the trails? In this meeting, girls will discover the essentials of packing, gear selection, and staying safe on a hike. Through fun activities like the &quot;Pack Your Backpack Relay&quot; and a short practice hike, they&rsquo;ll build the skills and confidence to explore the great outdoors! \n  \n  \n Trail Blazers 2 &ndash; Navigation &amp; Campsite Selection (5/28) \n  \n  \n Time to become expert navigators!  \n  \n  \n Girls will learn how to read maps and use a compass, then test their skills with a &quot;Orienteering Challenge.&quot; They&#39;ll also explore what makes a perfect campsite with a &quot;Campsite Hunt&quot; and practice setting up tents in the &quot;Mini Tent Pitching Practice.&quot; \n  \n  \n Trail Blazers 3 &ndash; Tent Pitching &amp; Shelter Building (6/11) \n  \n  \n Let&rsquo;s get hands-on!  \n  \n  \n In this meeting, girls will master the art of tent pitching and shelter building. From racing to set up tents to crafting emergency shelters, they&rsquo;ll also learn about responsible camping with a &quot;Leave No Trace&quot; lesson. \n  \n  \n Trail Blazers 4 &ndash; Campfire Building &amp; Outdoor Cooking (6/25) \n  \n  \n It&rsquo;s time to cook over a campfire!  \n  \n  \n Girls will learn fire-building techniques and prepare meals using &quot;Foil Packet Cooking.&quot; They&#39;ll wrap things up with a fun &quot;S&rsquo;mores Challenge&quot; and leave with new skills to make a delicious, safe campfire meal. \n  \n  \n Trail Blazers 5 &ndash; First Aid &amp; Animal Safety in the Outdoors (7/9) \n  \n  \n Be prepared for anything!  \n  \n  \n Girls will practice first aid skills with a &quot;First-Aid Relay&quot; and role-play how to stay safe during wildlife encounters. They&rsquo;ll also learn how to spot poisonous plants in the &quot;Poisonous or Not?&quot; activity to ensure they&#39;re ready for any outdoor adventure. \n  \n  \n Trail Blazers 6 &ndash; Final Prep for the Big Camping Trip (7/23) \n  \n  \n The final countdown begins!  \n  \n  \n Girls will rotate through survival stations to review their skills, check their gear in the &quot;Packing Check,&quot; and reflect on everything they&rsquo;ve learned during the &quot;Final Campfire Ceremony.&quot; They&rsquo;ll be all set for the ultimate camping adventure! \n  \n  \n Trail Blazers Camping Trip &ndash; The Ultimate Outdoor Adventure (Date is TBD and registration will be sent separately) \n  \n  \n It&rsquo;s time for the big adventure!  \n  \n  \n Girls will put their skills into action during the overnight camping trip. From setting up camp to hiking with a compass, cooking over the fire, and spotting nocturnal animals, it&rsquo;s an outdoor experience they&rsquo;ll never forget! \n
