Be a Friend First (K-5th grade):
Navigating between friends and families on how to be a good friend is hard by yourself. Join us for a program that gives elementary school students valuable skills to develop healthy relationships, prevent bullying behavior, and become peacemakers in their schools/communities.
Goals:
- Develop skills for healthy relationships and prevent bullying.
- Empower students to create positive change in their communities.
Why it's Important:
- 160,000 students skip school daily to bullying.
- 38% of students worry about emotional safety.
- Bullying is witnessed by 60% of teens daily.
- Bullying stops 57% of the time when peers intervene.
Activities and Discussions Include:
- There is no "I" in "TEAM"
- Healthy Boundaries
- Resolving Conflicts
- Art activity
Mental Health Matters (6th-12th grade):
Navigating today’s complex world can be tough, especially for girls and teenagers. Join us for an hour of activities and information. Have your child gain essential tools to support their emotional intelligence, mental health, and wellness, and proactively practice self-care.
Goals:
- Promote emotional well-being and mental awareness.
- Equip students with coping strategies and resilience skills.
Why it's Important:
- Mental Health is crucial for overall well-being and academic success
- Early intervention can prevent future mental health issues
- Encouraging open conversations about feelings and mental health reduces stigma
