Calling all Cadette, Senior, and Ambassador girls for our Art of Film Series!

This series requires all sessions to complete

Art of Film 1: Introduction to Filmmaking
Kickstart your filmmaking journey by learning the essential components of film production.

This session introduces the key phases of filmmaking—pre-production, production, and post-production—along with an exploration of genres and styles. You'll also dive into key filmmaking roles and create your first short film concept in a collaborative setting.

Art of Film 2: Screenwriting and Storytelling
Learn the art of crafting compelling stories in this hands-on session.

We’ll break down famous films and examine their structure, focusing on the three-act model and character development. You’ll apply these concepts by writing your own screenplay for a short film, setting the stage for your creative journey.

Art of Film 3: Cinematography and Visual Storytelling
Take a deep dive into cinematography and understand how visuals drive storytelling.

You'll explore different shot types, lighting techniques, and camera movements that evoke powerful emotions. With hands-on activities, you'll create scenes that demonstrate your newfound understanding of visual storytelling.

Art of Film 4: Directing Actors and Working with a Crew
Step into the director’s shoes and learn how to bring a script to life by working with actors and managing a film set.

This session covers directing techniques, film set etiquette, and how to communicate your vision clearly. You’ll direct a scene, providing feedback to actors and fine-tuning shots to achieve your desired performance.

Art of Film 5: Editing and Post-Production
Discover the magic behind editing and post-production, where you’ll learn to assemble your film and bring it to life.

From cutting and trimming footage to sound design and final touches, this session covers the essentials of creating a polished film ready for its big premiere.

Art of Film 6: The Film Premiere
Celebrate the culmination of your hard work with a film premiere!

In this final session, you'll refine your edits, create a professional introduction and title sequence, and then showcase your short film to an audience. Receive valuable feedback, reflect on your filmmaking process, and enjoy the spotlight as your film is screened.
