Girls who want to do horses will choose the Cowgirl Camp. Girls will be tested the first day to determine which riding group they will be assigned. Girls that attend camp together will be placed in a riding group together based on the girl with the least experience. Girls will be assigned to sleeping cabins based on grade/age.

Emphasis in all riding groups is on western style instruction, ring work, and horse care. All horse camp girls practicing and playing rodeo games.

To be more specific our least experienced riders will have an introduction to the basics of horse care, tacking, mucking, and riding. Girls will have the opportunity to increase their riding skills as they are placed in more advanced groups. All girls assist with the total care of the horses.

Camp Explorer girls will have a general camp experience getting to choose from the activities camp offers. Including crafts, games, archery, hiking, outdoor skills, nature and more. Camp Explorer games will get a well-rounded camp experience with a focus on the Girl Scout Leadership Experience with a fun science and/or art spin based on the girl’s interests. All activities are included in our camp fees.

Girls are transported by bus from the Redlands Service Center, 1751 Plum Lane, Redlands, CA 92374
